Administration supports DJJS’ spiritual congregation

On the second day of violent brawl, Ludhiana has witnessed clashes between the extremist groups and the police authorities of the largest city of Punjab. The extremist groups including Damdami Taksaal and Takht Khalsa have got out onto the roads with bare swords protesting against the two-day spiritual event of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan. The main reason behind the protest as quoted by the protestors is, “DJJS is an anti-Sikh organisation. Their literature and their discourses do not respect the Sikh Gurus. We would not allow them to congregate and organize any of their events here.”
